With the arrival of computers in households and the early days of the Internet, Salim founded the first technology start-up in East Berlin Mitte (traffics Group) and invented travel booking on the Internet. Salim was the first in the world to succeed with his partner in inventing the first digital travel booking technology for flight and hotel bookings on the Internet.

HeliView Innovation
With HeliView, Salim invented a unique and innovative virtual entry point into travel searches. The conventional presentation of travel offers in a list with small preview images was too unemotional for him. The challenge was to display the hotel price live within a video. So that the price always remains fixed over the hotel with the flight of the helicopter. For this purpose, Salim developed a new video technology together with the Fraunhofer Institute.

"Alexa start travel search"
In a joint project with Amazon, Salim designed the world's first travel search with Alexa voice control for package tours, flights and hotels. With the “Travel search” skill, Alexa can now also find offers for the next vacation.

First travel apps
With the multi-platform travel search app, Salim launched the world's first travel apps in the Apple App Store for the iPhone & iPad. In cooperation with Telekom, another version was also developed as the first SmartTV app for televisions.

Salim was born on August 13, 1974 in Karachi / Pakistan. In 1977, when he was three years old, he and his parents (born) emigrated from India / Gujrat to Germany.
